Make two records
A specification gives the size of an object in a particular configuration. It does not automatically describe the room needed to remove a tank, open a lid or clean a tray. Record the closed dimensions separately from those access tasks.
List each task you expect to perform at the proposed location. Use the exact instructions for the equipment rather than copying clearances from a similar machine. Where a component moves, a single photograph may not reveal its whole path.
Use reservations without calling them safety margins
The planner includes extra rear/depth and overhead reservations for each appliance. These are your inputs. They can capture a documented requirement or an access allowance you have established, but the software does not invent an appropriate allowance.
Its simple model adds rear reservation to appliance depth and overhead reservation to height. Side-to-side requirements must also be reflected in the widths and gaps you enter. A narrow gap is not a universal ventilation recommendation. Complex movement and obstacles require checks outside this rectangular model.
Check the difficult task first
If the main uncertainty is removing a reservoir, resolve that before comparing decorative storage jars. Record the answer with the model and configuration so it remains connected to the item it describes. Do not operate or move a hot, filled or connected appliance contrary to its instructions to test an idea.
If a required allowance is unknown, an incomplete result is useful: it tells you what is missing. A green-looking diagram or a small product width cannot replace a documented operating requirement.
