Start with the space you can actually keep
Measure the clear counter section you can dedicate to coffee without assuming that everything else disappears. Record width, usable depth and the height of the lowest obstruction above it. A light fitting, cabinet trim or existing shelf can matter more than the height of the main cabinet. Write the units beside the numbers.
Give the location a specific name in your notes. A sketch of the proposed counter is more useful later than a photograph with no measurement reference. This site does not assess countertop loading, electrical installation or safe appliance placement.
Add equipment as separate reservations
The counter planner places a brewer, an optional grinder and a work strip side by side. Each appliance has a width, depth and height. The work strip is a rectangle reserved for tasks; it is not an instruction to place a hot appliance there.
Enter the actual outside dimensions, then add the extra space required by your equipment instructions and access needs. Keep the source of each number in a note. The default values are invented examples, not specifications for a linked product.
Leave unknowns visible
If you have not established extra overhead or rear access, leave the field blank. The result remains incomplete instead of treating unknown space as zero. Zero is appropriate only when you have established that no additional reservation is needed for that input.
A geometric fit still needs a real-world check. The tool cannot judge heat, steam, cords, moving components or safe operation. Save the measurements and limitations together, then resolve any missing information before buying.
