The arithmetic, without the hidden extras
Mass and whole bags
Daily mass = entered dose × average preparations × (1 + optional extra percentage ÷ 100). Multiply by days, subtract existing stock, and round any positive remaining need up to whole bags. If existing stock covers the plan, zero new bags are needed.
What an ounce means here
One avoirdupois ounce is 28.349523125 grams. Fluid ounces are volume units and are not accepted as coffee mass. NIST conversion tables. Duration assumes the same average use throughout; it does not assess coffee freshness.
Optional costs
Bean cost per preparation uses your dose, extra allowance and bag price per gram. New-bag cost = whole bags × entered price. Neither includes equipment, energy, water, filters, other ingredients, repairs or your time. A blank price means unknown, not free.
